Jesspin Part Two | Walton-on-Thames, Surrey wedding photographer

Welcome to part two of Jessica and Crispin’s wedding!

Following on from  their Islington civil ceremony earlier in the week, they gathered their friends together for an enchanting celebration at The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse in Walton-on-Thames.

I’m still blown away when I think about how they transformed this theatre space into something so magical, it was just unforgettable. I will let the pictures do the talking but suffice to say: this wedding celebration was perfect in every way. It truly represented Jessica and Crispin and captured everyone’s imagination, I loved it so much.

Also, a big thanks to the brilliant Rebecca from  Heart Shaped Weddings who helped bring it all together!

  • Albert Bridge, Chelsea engagement session – London

    I’ll see you then
    As the dawn birds sing
On a cold and misty morning
    By the Albert Bridge
(Misty morning, Albert Bridge by The Pogues)

They walked across Albert Bridge on their first date.

For Tessa and John, there is a strong connection to this place and it plays a central part in their love story.

They have lived a stone’s throw away from it over the last few years, and have spent many happy moments sitting in cafes and getting to know each other in Battersea, Chelsea, and its surrounding areas. As they embark on the next chapter of their lives together, it seemed apt to give the backdrop to their romance a proper send off. Before the summer ends, they will celebrate their marriage in this part of London, then move to pastures anew for their second act.

Albert Bridge is one of the finest bridges on the river Thames; I find it very romantic, and I always think of that Pogues song.

We took a little stroll across it together one sweltering afternoon in June for a fun engagement session, and gave it one last kiss goodbye.

Looking forward to being your wedding photographer soon, Tessa and John!

  • Modern Hindu Chinese fusion wedding – Part Two | Hertfordshire wedding photographer

You’ve already seen Sheila and Eugene’s beautiful Hindu wedding ceremony in an earlier post on this blog. Personally, I would’ve been quite happy with just that, but they had even more visual delights for everyone (including this wedding photographer). While the guests enjoyed the party, the newly-weds slipped away and prepared for Part Two of their nuptials. Sheila was transformed into a sleek, modern bride  in a sparkling strapless gown and amazing rose gold Converse, while the groom looked picture perfect in his Hugo Boss suit.  They held their simple but stylish civil ceremony in the Orangery, and after a late-afternoon photo session, the speeches commenced and the party began.

A huge congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom, wishing you many years of happiness together.

Modern Irish wedding photography |Louise and Pete | wedding photographer Ireland| Glasson House Hotel, Westmeath

If ever a bride was gonna do things her way, it was Louise.

There were no bridesmaids, but she did have a best man. There was even a ‘beast man’ – her brother Geoffrey.

Louise is an original. A creative and free-spirited girl, who makes sure every detail is just right and doesn’t settle for second-best. Her handsome and kind husband is a good example of that. Louise and Pete met online. A few years earlier, Pete had moved to Dublin from Wisconsin to complete his MBA and luckily for him, his bride-to-be had also settled in Ireland’s capital.

Sadly, Louise lost her wonderful dad quite recently so the idea of walking up the aisle felt empty without him by her side. Instead, in true romantic style, they decided to elope to San Francisco, then hold a proper shindig (a.k.a. an Irish wedding reception) back on the Emerald Isle a few months later.

They held their reception at Glasson Country House Hotel, in County Westmeath. Situated on the banks of Lough Ree, and home to one of Ireland’s top golf courses, it made a stunning setting for the marital celebration.

The stylish bride wore a dreamy bridal gown by Tadashi Shoji, supplied by Covet at Powerscourt Townhouse.  This was accessorised with No.1 by Jenny Packham heels (complete with personalised soles) and a beautiful vintage-style headpiece – handmade by the creative bride. She even designed the incredible wedding invitations.Louise Pete Irish wedding 0022015-08-10_0092Louise Pete Irish wedding 011Louise Pete Irish wedding 005Louise Pete Irish wedding 006Louise Pete Irish wedding 007Louise Pete Irish wedding 008Louise’s make-up artist (and Instagram bestie) Christine Radomskas Gallagher flew over specially from Boston, Massachusetts with her husband, Dan. • Engagement photography session | Columbia Road Flower Market | Hackney | Contemporary London wedding photographer

Sometimes a couple exude love. That was the first thing I noticed about Sheila and Eugene – the unspoken closeness between them. After getting to know them a little, I knew that theirs was not a frivolous love but one of deep tenderness. And devotion to each other. They have been through tough personal challenges which have clearly brought them even closer together. They are the epitome of what love should be, and I cannot wait to photograph their epic wedding! One sunny Sunday in July, we met for a pre-wedding photo session at London’s famous Columbia Road flower market. Here is a selection of images from that memorable morning.
